The example GIF at its own speed and at twice the speed, combined side by side with this tool. Each half keeps its own timing.

How to combine GIFs
- Add your GIFs. Choose several at once, drop them on the box above, or add more later. They stay on your device.
- Put them in order. Use the arrow buttons next to each GIF to move it up or down, or remove it.
- Pick how to combine them. One after another plays each GIF in turn. Side by side plays them all at once, left to right or top to bottom.
- Pick a size. Every GIF is resized to one frame size. Fit shows the whole GIF, Fill crops it so there is no empty space.
- Download the combined GIF.
How the timing works
- One after another: every frame keeps the delay stored in its GIF, so each part plays at its own speed. The frame count is the total of all the GIFs.
- Side by side: each GIF keeps its own timing. A new frame is written whenever any of the GIFs changes, and lasts until the next change. The combined GIF is as long as the longest one; shorter ones repeat or hold their last frame, as you choose.
- Rounding: a GIF stores delays in hundredths of a second, and browsers play a delay of 0.01 s or less as 0.1 s. Side by side, changes less than 0.02 s apart are merged into one frame so the result plays as written. For the same reason, side by side treats a stored delay of 0 or 0.01 s as 0.1 s, the way browsers play it.
- Colours: each output frame gets its own colour table of up to 256 colours. Side by side, one frame holds the colours of every GIF, and resizing blends neighbouring pixels, so a frame can end up with more colours than that. It is then reduced to fit, and the tool tells you how many frames that happened to.
FAQ
How do I combine GIFs into one?
Add your GIFs above, put them in order with the arrow buttons, choose One after another or Side by side, then press Download GIF.
How do I put two GIFs side by side?
Add both GIFs and choose Side by side. Pick Left to right or Top to bottom, and add a gap if you want space between them.
What if my GIFs are different sizes?
Every GIF is resized to one frame size: the first GIF's size, the largest, the smallest, or a size you type. Fit keeps the whole GIF and leaves transparent or coloured space around it. Fill crops the edges so the GIF covers the whole frame.
Do the GIFs keep their speed?
Yes. One after another, every frame keeps its stored delay. Side by side, each GIF plays on its own timeline, rounded to the 0.01 s steps a GIF can store.
What happens when the GIFs have different lengths side by side?
The combined GIF lasts as long as the longest one. Shorter GIFs either start again from their first frame or stop on their last frame, depending on the Shorter GIFs setting.
Does combining GIFs lower the quality?
One after another, a GIF that is not resized keeps its exact colours, as long as each frame fits in one GIF colour table of 256 colours. Resizing blends pixels and side by side puts several GIFs in one frame, and both can add colours. Any frame that goes over 256 has its colours reduced, and the tool says how many.
Does this tool upload my GIFs?
No. Your GIFs are read and combined by your browser on your own device and are never sent to a server. You can check: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use the tool. No request carries your file. The page counts visits and finished downloads (tool name only) with analytics that sets no cookies, and no file data is ever sent (see privacy).
