About CrispKit

CrispKit is a set of 56 free tools that each do one job: crop a profile picture, resize a GIF, compress a video for Discord, trim an MP3, find a song's BPM, make a QR code. There is no account to make and no watermark on what you download.

How the tools work

Each tool is a web page that does its work in your browser, on your own device. When you choose a file, the page reads it with your browser's built-in Web APIs and makes the result there too:

The download is made by your browser as a file on your device. The open-source code the tools use is listed on the licences page.

How to check that your files stay on your device

You don't have to take our word for it. Two checks anyone can do:

1. Watch the Network tab

  1. Open a tool, for example Round Corners on Image.
  2. Open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Cmd+Option+I on a Mac) and choose the Network tab.
  3. Load a file into the tool and download the result.
  4. Look through the requests. None of them carries your file: you'll see the page's own scripts and images, plus small visit-count requests to analytics.answermend.com. If you pressed Accept on the cookie banner, you'll also see Microsoft Clarity requests; they don't carry your file either.

2. Go offline after the page loads

  1. Open the tool and wait until the page has finished loading.
  2. Turn on airplane mode, or switch off Wi-Fi.
  3. Load a file and download the result. It still works, because nothing needs to be sent anywhere.

We ran this offline check on 28 October 2026 in Chrome, Firefox and Safari's engine with Round Corners on Image, GIF Speed Changer (GIF download) and Image Deep Fryer: each made and downloaded its file with the network off.

Where the offline check doesn't work: some tools load an extra part only at the moment you need it, so with the network off they stop at that step. That's not an upload; the part simply hasn't been downloaded yet. This applies to:

For these, use the tool once while online, or use the Network tab check instead.

Analytics

We count visits and finished downloads (tool name only) with Umami, analytics that sets no cookies. With your OK, Microsoft Clarity records clicks and scrolls (text and images masked) to help us improve the tools. Clarity doesn't load until you press Accept on the banner, and you can change your choice any time with Cookie settings. The privacy page lists exactly what each one receives.
